Learn More About Padwork/Boxing Fitness

Updated: Jun 5, 2021

Want to find out more about padwork and boxing fitness? Well, for some, exercise is a necessary evil, something they MUST do to lose weight.  It’s dull, boring, and to be honest there are many more things you could and would rather be doing.

But it doesn’t have to be like that, you don’t have to dread working out.  You can have fun, and get fit at the same time.  So let me introduce you to :

Padwork/Boxing Fitness

First of all, Let’s see if we can bust at least two common Padwork myths :

1. It will give you big arms.

No, sorry it won’t.  First of all, it takes a whole load of hard, specific work and great nutrition to build big muscles. Hitting the pads and doing press ups will not lead to ‘big’ arms.

2. It’s aggressive.

Nope.  Padwork is not aggressive, and it is a non-contact activity.  The only punching you do is on the pads.  You don’t have to get in the ring or fight each other.

Interested?

Hopefully, by now you are interested enough to find out what this can do for you.

Has work been awful?  Punch it out.  Were you late for everything today? Punch it out.  Did the car breakdown? Punch it out.  Do you feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders? Punch it out.  Are you just having one of those days? Punch it out.

I know many people are now focused on strength as the fat burning exercise of choice. I am a believer in having a strength programme, but it is the combination of cardio and strength that is amazing.  Boxing fitness makes you sweat, smile, burn calories and that magic word ‘tone’.

During personal training or fitness sessions, the same areas are often mentioned when girls approach me for help.  They grab the skin under their arms or grab their tummy and say I just want to get rid of this. Again Padwork can play a massive part in this.

It is fast paced and an amazing full body workout.  This is tailored towards your own ability from beginner to advanced.

Yes, we do use our arms a lot, but we also use our shoulders, back, legs, core, butt. The sessions are focused on improving fitness levels as well as learning how to punch in a safety environment and burning tons of calories in the meantime.

1/2 hour sessions with a Personal Trainer for ONLY £15.  45 min sessions also available.
